WINCHESTER, Va. - The Shenandoah University field hockey team completed an undefeated home slate with a 3-0 non-league win Frostburg State Tuesday evening.
Shenandoah (13-4) saw three different women score and three others assist in the first half to defeat Frostburg (2-15) on the Sprint Field at Shentel Stadium turf. All three goals were the result of penalty corners.

"Our goal today was to control possession for most of the game," head coach Ashley Smeltzer-Kraft said. "We did exactly that and held them to just one shot. Everyone on the team contributed and it was total team effort to head into Saturday with another win. This match was good preparation for our ODAC regular season finale on Saturday."
Shenandoah recorded 27 shots, forcing Frostburg goalie Sierra Smizer to make 16 saves.
SU had the advantage in penalty corners 17-2
All three SU goals were scored thanks to penalty corner opportunities.
SU ties the 2016 team with program-record 13 wins in a season.
Field Hockey has a perfect 9-0 record at home this season for the first time in program history.
