SCRANTON, Pa. - The Shenandoah University women's lacrosse team earned another road win in a 20-12 non-league victory over the Marywood University Pacers Saturday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
In the first half, the Hornets took advantage of two man-up opportunities with goals from Morris and classmate Emma Stiffler.
Nikki Zerna and the Shenandoah attack also scored a man-down goal with 6:48 remaining in the first.
Morris would go on to record five goals during the opening half. The Hornets never lost control of the game and went into halftime with a 13-6 lead.
The dominating offensive effort would continue into the second half as SU led by as much as 10 goals. The Hornets took that 10-goal lead with 7:52 remaining in the contest thanks to an Alexandra Simonson feed to Madison Ulm.
"Today was a great team effort," hea coach Lindsey Lutz said. "On the attacking end we are starting to connect and fire on all cylinders. Today was a good game to utilize our depth on both ends of the field to get some valuable experience in for the younger members of our team before we get into conference play in two weeks."
