WINCHESTER, Va. - Shenandoah field hockey team jumped out to a four-goal halftime lead Saturday afternoon on its way to a 6-0 ODAC victory over Ferrum College.

Morgan Payne scored the first goal 6:13 into the match and that is all SU (9-3, 2-1 ODAC) needed to bring down the Panthers (2-8, 0-3).

HOW IT HAPPENED

06:13 | Morgan Payne inserted a penalty corner to the top of the semicircle for Taylor Hayes, Hayes sent her shot to the left post where Payne was waiting for the easy tip-in.

17:46 | Kayla Alderman sent a cross to the left post for a Serana Farmer goal.

19:28 | Kayla Alderman scored off a Raven Barter cross.

30:10 | Taylor Hayes scored off of a reverse-sweep from five yards out.

45:34 | Kelsey Jones picked up a loose ball in a scrum in front of the goal to give the Hornets a 5-0 lead.

61:29 |Amanda Hennen crossed the ball from the right side of the goal, Lauren Strohman one-timed it past the Panther defense.

Shenandoah travels to Lynchburg on Wednesday, October 10. The match will be played at Liberty University Field Hockey Complex at 7 p.m.
